CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE
SHANE K. MCNEILL, PE, ESQ.
“If [the language of the law] is plain, and if the law is within the constitutional authority of the lawmaking body which passed it, the sole function of the courts is to enforce it according to its terms.”
- Caminetti v. United States, 242 US 470 (1917).
-
There is no place for activism in the judiciary. It is important that our judiciary understands their part of government to interpret the law, not rewrite it.
-
Time is important. Waiting hours for docket call, spending days on a jury, and the overall processing of documents in court are just a few of the items that need attention to improve the function and efficiency of the court.
-
Avoiding the appearance of impropriety is important to me. That’s why my campaign is 100% funded by me. No attorneys or anyone else is providing funding.
